Starlight

Every year, the district gathers for the Starlight Festival, a dazzling light show and frenzied celebration—the one night a dying world feels alive again.

For Yumi and Jen, best friends just shy of teenage years, the evening means a climb to their special spot, where they whisper secret wishes to the stars. But when tragedy shatters their dreams, the festival’s dark truth challenges everything they believe.

Set in a future marred by climate crisis and unbending social control, Starlight is a science-fiction tale of forbidden love, loss, and the truth beneath a spectacle bright enough to blind an entire world.
